Logs
The logs kept on this web site are industry standard logs and are used for statistical purposes as well as troubleshooting of issues with the server and/or the interaction of the server with users reporting problems. Logs are kept for a period of about one month.
Logs could also end up on backups and remain there for a longer perod of time off-line.
Cookies
The main section of this web site does not attempt to use any cookies, nor do they need to be allowed. Exceptions to this are the forum and 3rd parties who do attempt to set cookies in browsers of visitors. (See below)
Interactive sections
Users can sign up for an account and participate in a public forum. Anything the user enters as information in this section is displayed for all other users to see. Users are encouraged not to publish personal identifiable information (such as their real name, their address, their phone numbers and email addresses).
These interactive portions try to use cookies in order to build sessions so that users can interact with the server in a transparent manner.
Volunteer moderators have access to personal identifiable data such as IP addresses and email addresses. These are however only used to facilitate the good workings of the forum and prevent abusive behavior by banning offending participants.
3rd parties
This site uses content provided by third parties who can use their own technology to track users beyond the control of this web site.
